Possibilities for cooperation between Baku Higher Oil School and higher educational institutions in Uzbekistan discussed


Guldana Hidayatli, the head of the Quality Assurance Department of the Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS) and Nazrin Aliyeva, a senior methodologist at the International Relations Department of BHOS, have been on a business trip to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

The BHOS employees held meetings at the Central Asian University and the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, and gave presentations on Baku Higher Oil School to senior pupils of Al-Beruniy International Schools and secondary schools in Tashkent.

They also met with Huseyn Guliyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, and visited the Heydar Aliyev Center at the Embassy.

At the meeting held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, the sides discussed possibilities for cooperation in such areas as the implementation of dual diploma programs in Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering, realization of student exchange programs, and the organization of summer schools for Uzbek students i
n Baku.

The BHOS representatives also met with Sukhrob Annamuradov, the head of the Business Development Department of Uzbekneftegaz. Issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting, including the possibility for employees of Uzbekneftegaz to undergrow training at Baku Higher Oil School within a short-term program.
