Initiated by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan, a postage stamp marking the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev has been issued in Uzbekistan by the country`s State Postal Office LLC. The postage stamp, which read ‘100th anniversary of National Leader of Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev’ depicts the portrait of the National Leader against the background of the national flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The stamp will be put into circulation in Uzbekistan and abroad as well as sent to the museums of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, and the state and government officials of both countries. As part of events to be held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the Cultural Center implements a number of projects in Uzbekistan. A book dedicated to Great Leader Heydar Aliyev will be published in Uzbek language, and the opening of the Heydar Aliyev Auditorium is planned to be held at the leading university of Uzbekistan.
