Icherisheher: George Jacob Koovakad, Prefect of the Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue of the Holy See, along with Father Laurent Basanese, visited the House of Tolerance located in Icherisheher on June 16. The visit included a comprehensive overview of the House of Tolerance, which is known for its exhibits that showcase Azerbaijan's traditions of tolerance.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation viewed a photo gallery that highlighted the support provided by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev, and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva in promoting interreligious dialogue and multicultural values in Azerbaijan. The gallery serves as a testament to the country's commitment to fostering an environment of tolerance and respect among different faiths.

During their meeting with Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, the delegation expressed their appreciation for the level of tolerance and interfaith harmony present in Azerbaijan. Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade emphasized that the policy of tolerance and multiculturalism was initiated by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and continues under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

At the conclusion of the visit, George Jacob Koovakad signed the guest book of the House of Tolerance, marking the significance of the event and the ongoing commitment to interreligious dialogue.
