Baku: As part of the early and optimal preparations for the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meetings scheduled for June 16-19, 2026, the first preparatory mission commenced from October 5-9, 2025. A multilateral team led by IsDB Group Secretary-General Riyad Ragoub held discussions with Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli and Advisor to the Minister of Economy and National Coordinator for the Annual Meetings Asgar Alakbarov. The meetings also included high-ranking government representatives of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, key organizational issues were discussed in detail during these meetings to ensure the successful and high-level organization of the event. This preparatory mission is a significant step in laying the groundwork for the forthcoming annual meetings, focusing on logistical and administrative arrangements necessary for hosting international delegates and dignitaries.
