President Aliyev Addresses Residents on Historic Return to Karabakh

Khojavend: On September 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with residents of Girmizi Bazar, Hadrut settlements, and Sos village in the Khojavend district. The meeting was marked by a warm reception as residents greeted the head of state.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed the significance of the occasion, highlighting the historic nature of the residents’ return to their native Karabakh land. He emphasized that all of Karabakh is now under Azerbaijani control, following its liberation from occupiers two years ago. President Aliyev noted the successful implementation of the ‘Great Return’ Program and the upcoming fifth anniversary of their historic victory.

The president acknowledged the development and infrastructure provided in Karabakh, including housing, utilities, schools, and medical facilities. He recognized the sacrifices made for peace, expressing gratitude to the martyrs and emphasizing the importance of national unity and strength in achieving their goals.

President Aliyev reflected on the years of effort to resolve the Karabakh conflict peacefully and criticized the Armenian side and their supporters for their intentions. He reiterated Azerbaijan’s commitment to peace based on international law and historical justice, while also affirming their readiness to defend their land.

The president concluded by celebrating the construction and development achieved in Karabakh and Zangezur over the past five years, underscoring Azerbaijan’s accomplishments in both war and peace. He expressed pride in the nation’s recognition as victorious and congratulated the residents on their historic return to their homeland.
