Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has issued an order to reward Azerbaijani athletes who excelled at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, alongside their coaches and specialists, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the presidential order allocates 1,900,000 manats from the 2025 President’s Reserve Fund to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This funding is designated for athletes, coaches, and specialists involved in preparing for the Games.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has been assigned to formulate and approve, within 10 days, criteria for distributing the funds. These criteria will address factors such as competition level, medal count, and whether events were individual or team-based. The monetary rewards will be based on these factors.

The Ministry of Finance has been directed to ensure the allocation of the necessary funds.
