President Aliyev and UAE Energy Minister Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, Suhail Al Mazrouei, on May 17.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting began with Minister Al Mazrouei conveying greetings from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

President Aliyev expressed gratitude for the greetings and requested that his regards be returned to both Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The conversation also included Minister Al Mazrouei congratulating President Aliyev on Baku hosting the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13), highlighting it as a significant platform for discussing global urban planning issues.

The discussions further emphasized the expansion of bilateral relations founded on strategic partnership. Both parties underscored the importance of developing cooperation across multiple sectors, notably in political, economic, energy, and renewable energy fields. The meeting underscored the mutual commitment to strengthening ties and fostering collaboration in these key areas.
