Sharm el-sheikh: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev paid a working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt to participate in the Middle East Peace Summit at the invitation of President of the United States Donald Trump and President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, on October 13, President Ilham Aliyev arrived at the International Congress Center in Sharm el-Sheikh, where the summit was held. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the two leaders posed for photographs together.

Later, President of the United States Donald Trump greeted President Ilham Aliyev, and they too posed for photographs. The participants of the Middle East Peace Summit then gathered for a family photo, symbolizing unity and cooperation.

During the summit, President Donald Trump reflected on a previous meeting in Washington between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia. He remarked on the resolution achieved between the two countries, highlighting the rapid progress made during discussions that lasted about an hour.

Following the conclusion of the summit, a signing ceremony for the peace agreement took place. President Trump spoke about the progress in advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, stating that the longstanding conflict, which lasted over three decades, was effectively addressed and resulted in a newfound harmony between the two nations.

President Ilham Aliyev’s participation at the summit underscores Azerbaijan’s role in regional peace efforts and highlights the collaborative efforts of international leaders to foster stability in the Middle East.
