President Aliyev Declares No Foreign Operator Allowed in Zangezur Corridor

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has firmly stated that no foreign operators will be permitted on Azerbaijani territory concerning the Zangezur corridor. This declaration comes amid discussions about a US company potentially leasing the corridor.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev addressed this issue during a meeting with attendees of the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum. He emphasized that queries regarding this matter should be directed to the Armenian leadership, asserting that no operator, trader, or lessee would be allowed on Azerbaijani soil.

President Aliyev further remarked on Armenia’s actions, noting that they have already invited European Union observers to their border. He described these observers as professional spies conducting espionage against Iran, especially during the recent Iran-Israel conflict, as they operate along the Iranian border.
