Davos: Azerbaijan is positioned as the only reliable, safe, and friendly destination for Europe to establish a connection with Central Asia, stated President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan. He addressed business representatives from various countries during the 'Azerbaijan Executive Breakfast,' a significant event at the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Davos.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev underlined Azerbaijan's pivotal role in the European Union's 'Global Gateway' initiative, which aims to link Europe with Central Asia. He highlighted the substantial investments Azerbaijan has made in transportation infrastructure, noting that most projects are nearing completion. However, due to the rapid growth in cargo volume, Azerbaijan plans to expand the capacity of its Trade Sea Port. This expansion will also incorporate the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project, integrating Armenia into the broader Central Asian transportation network. This initiative is expected to foster regional peace by reopening Armenia's roads, enabling it to benefit from tariffs and participate in extensive international cooperation.
