Abu dhabi: 'Our example should still be studied by those who are still at war and accepted as a roadmap,' said President Ilham Aliyev at the awarding ceremony of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity in Abu Dhabi, APA's correspondent dispatched to Abu Dhabi reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the progress made in diplomatic relations over the past six months. He highlighted the lifting of restrictions on cargo transportation to Armenia via Azerbaijan and the commencement of oil product exports to Armenia as significant steps. 'In other words, over these six months, we started cooperation. Now we are increasing our trade ties,' he stated.
The Azerbaijani leader also mentioned his meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, where they discussed ongoing efforts to move forward. He expressed that the awards ceremony, along with the recognition of their efforts by the jury and international allies, serves as an inspiration. 'I believe our example should still be studied by those who are still at war and accepted as a roadmap. Our example shows that peace is possible despite long-term conflicts, suffering, and mutual distrust,' President Aliyev concluded.
