Baku: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has announced a successful collaboration with Hungary in the energy sector. During a press statement with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orb¡n, President Aliyev highlighted the involvement of Hungarian companies in significant oil and gas projects within Azerbaijan, specifically mentioning the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz fields. He also revealed that the next contract between the two nations is expected to be signed early next year, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev shared that a Hungarian company is set to begin operations in Azerbaijan’s onshore oil fields. Additionally, he noted the export of natural gas to Hungary, which commenced last year. Both leaders expressed confidence in meeting Hungary’s gas supply needs, with arrangements being made to ensure the supply aligns with the country’s demand.
