BAKU – In a significant meeting on September 15, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev welcomed Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the International Automobile Federation. The meeting emphasized strengthening ties and collaborative initiatives between the two organizations, according to Trend reports.

According to Trend News Agency, Ben Sulayem expressed his appreciation for Azerbaijan’s support in successfully hosting the Federation’s General Assembly and the Prize-Giving ceremony last December in Baku. He highlighted the growing partnership between the International Automobile Federation and the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation and local clubs, indicating a broadening scope of cooperation.

Further discussions focused on the International Automobile Federation’s commitment to supporting transport-related activities within the framework of the Conference of Parties (COP). Ben Sulayem mentioned that experts from the Federation would work in collaboration with Azerbaijani counterparts to advance these initiatives.

President Aliyev extended an invitation to Ben Sulayem to attend the upcoming COP29, reinforcing the collaborative spirit between the Federation and Azerbaijan in addressing global environmental challenges.
