Aghdam:President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan inaugurated a new metal products manufacturing facility in the Aghdam Industrial Park, operated by ASMC Limited Liability Company. The event marked a significant development in the region's industrial capabilities.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the facility's operations were explained to the President by Shirin Jamalli, founder of Almet Holding Open Joint Stock Company, which is the main founder of ASMC LLC. This company, registered as a resident of the Aghdam Industrial Park in 2024, initiated a project valued at 24.9 million manats, to be implemented in two phases.

The first phase of the project, costing 8.8 million manats, includes nearly 4.7 million manats in bank loans subsidized by the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy. The second phase is projected to require 16.1 million manats. The facility enjoys exemptions worth 470,000 manats on value-added tax and customs duties as a resident of the Industrial Park.

Located on a 1.7-hectare site, the facility will produce various metal products including steel mesh, barbed wire, and nails. The first phase will have a significant production capacity, with the second phase expanding to include additional products. These products support construction and restoration projects in the liberated territories, ensuring local supply and reduced transportation costs.

The plant is equipped with machinery from Italy, Germany, Türkiye, and China, aiming to serve both domestic and export markets. Currently employing 26 people, the facility expects to increase its workforce to 100 once full production capacity is achieved.

Efforts are underway to integrate the liberated territories into Azerbaijan's economic system. The industrial park's infrastructure, along with financial and tax incentives, is designed to stimulate private sector investment in the region.
