President Aliyev Meets with Formula 1 Executives and British Supermodel Naomi Campbell in Baku

BAKU - President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan welcomed several high-profile guests to Baku, including Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, consultant Flavio Briatore, and British supermodel Naomi Campbell. The meeting highlighted Azerbaijan's increasing role in global motorsports and other sectors, Trend reports.

According to Trend News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Domenicali and Briatore in organizing the Formula 1 events in Azerbaijan, which he noted play a significant role in promoting the country internationally. The discussions also covered future initiatives to enhance motor sports in Azerbaijan, particularly focusing on the development of karting.

The conversation further addressed environmental issues, with emphasis on the upcoming COP29, which Azerbaijan is set to host. The president invited both Domenicali and Briatore to the conference, underscoring the importance of incorporating sustainability practices within the Formula 1 framework.

Naomi Campbell, expressing her admiration for Baku's development and its modern infrastructure, particularly highlighted the Heydar Aliyev Center designed by Zaha Hadid. Campbell also showed interest in supporting Azerbaijan's fashion industry, committing to assist local designers in gaining wider recognition.
