BAKU, Azerbaijan, US President Joe Biden plans to nominate Lynn Tracy, the current US ambassador to Armenia, for the post of US Ambassador to Russia, Trend reports citing CNN.

According to the source, the Biden administration hopes to get her in place swiftly to replace John Sullivan who stepped down earlier in September.

Washington has already informed Moscow of plans to appoint Tracy as envoy to Russia, two sources said.
