President Highlights Growing Cultural Ties Between Azerbaijan and Vietnam


Baku: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the strengthening of cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Vietnam through various initiatives and projects. In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency, as reported by APA, the president highlighted the ongoing development of these bilateral relations.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev pointed out specific events that have contributed to this cultural exchange. For instance, in 2024, Baku hosted the screening of the movie ‘Legend Makers,’ which is dedicated to the heroism of Vietnamese soldiers during the Vietnam War. Additionally, the Days of Vietnam were celebrated in Azerbaijan’s capital to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh’s visit to the country.



The Azerbaijani leader further mentioned the role of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in enhancing these ties, noting its involvement in projects in Vietnam. One significant project was the construction of an elementary school in Ha Giang Province in 2018, underscoring the commitment to fostering educational and cultural collaboration between the two nations.
