President Highlights Vital Role of Trade Unions in Azerbaijan’s Public and Social Life

Baku: The trade unions of Azerbaijan hold a significant position in the republic’s public and social landscape, contributing to the development of labor relations and strengthening civil society, according to President Ilham Aliyev. In his address to the participants of the 8th Congress of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, President Aliyev emphasized the multifaceted activities of the trade unions and their essential role in the nation’s progress.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev acknowledged the considerable efforts being made in Azerbaijan to safeguard workers’ labor and socio-economic rights. He highlighted initiatives aimed at creating decent working conditions and improving social partnership mechanisms. The president underscored the importance of adapting to contemporary challenges, fostering strong connections with trade union members, and advancing the digitization of services.

Furthermore, the application of artificial intelligence in relevant sectors and the enhancement of service quality and satisfaction levels were noted as key priorities.
