Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has addressed the participants of the international scientific and practical conference titled 'Stages of Audit Development: The Path from Compliance to Strategic Partnership and Trust,' APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the significance of the conference held in Baku to mark the 30th anniversary of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He emphasized the role of audit in the context of the country's large-scale reforms aimed at economic development and strengthening financial discipline. The formation of a modern audit institution, initiated by the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan 'On Audit Service,' was noted as a crucial step towards ensuring transparency and accountability.
President Aliyev acknowledged the efforts of the Chamber of Auditors in strengthening Azerbaijan's independent audit system. He pointed out the expansion of audit services and the increased role of audits in ensuring financial reliability, transparency, and combating corruption.
