Ganja: President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony of the III CIS Games in Ganja. During the event, they met with children who lost their parents, family members, and relatives due to missile attacks on Ganja during the Patriotic War, as well as those who were injured in those attacks.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev showed special interest in the children of martyrs and warmly greeted a child named Nilay. Following this meeting, President Aliyev and the First Lady watched the opening ceremony together.
