Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, along with the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, attended the inauguration of a new golf club at the Issyk-Kul Golf Resort complex in Cholpon-Ata. The event, held on July 30, introduced a major development on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremony started with a video presentation highlighting the features of the Issyk-Kul Golf Resort complex and its newly opened golf club. The resort, which spans 120 hectares, dedicates 103 hectares to the golf club itself. This initiative is part of a broader effort to attract visitors to the Issyk-Kul region throughout the year, extending beyond the traditional summer season.

The golf course is designed for operation up to 10 months annually, supported by an 80-room hotel equipped with necessary infrastructure for visitors. Plans for the resort also include establishing a golf academy and hosting various tournaments. The Issyk-Kul Golf Resort complex aims to integrate tourism, sports, wellness, and entertainment through additional facilities, including several four- and five-star hotels, restaurants, beaches, and the golf club.

During the event, President of the Kyrgyz Golf Federation Khomeni Ergeshov delivered welcoming remarks, followed by an address from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov. The attending heads of state toured the resort complex and participated in a ceremonial tee-off, officially opening the golf course.
