President Ilham Aliyev: Attention to Ganja city has always been at a high level

“This is my 18th visit to Ganja as President. It means that I visit Ganja every year on average. There have been years when I visited here twice. And because Ganja is the second biggest city of Azerbaijan, attention to this city has always been at a high level. Secondly, many projects have been implemented in Ganja and these projects continue to be implemented,” said President Ilham Aliyev as he was interviewed by AZERTAC during his visit to the city of Ganja.

“In recent years, we have tried to implement major infrastructure projects in Ganja, and the vast majority of these projects have been completed. Electricity supply has been fully resolved. Ten substations have been rebuilt and overhauled in Ganja,” the head of state noted.

“Gas-supply project has been fully implemented. The drinking water project is still being implemented. Unfortunately, this project took a while. It is true that it is both very large-scale and cost-effective. It is a project worth about 800 million manats. As a result of this project, the problems of drinking water and sewerage in Ganja will be solved once and for all,” the Azerbaijani President emphasized.

“According to the latest information provided to me, this project is currently at 42 percent through. Of course, additional instructions will be given to accelerate the implementation of this project and resolve this problem in Ganja,” President Ilham Aliyev added.
