Baku: ‘Azerbaijan welcomes the resolutions on combating Islamophobia adopted by the UN General Assembly and calls for the immediate implementation of all measures envisaged in those documents,’ said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in his address to the participants of the International Conference themed ‘Islamophobia in Focus: Unveiling Bias, Shattering Stigmas,’ APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the increasing and systematic nature of Islamophobia globally. He noted that this negative trend is not confined to any single country but is evident in many regions worldwide. The President expressed concern over the growing hostility towards Islam, the rise in hatred and intolerance against Muslims, and the spread of anti-Islamic sentiment.
