Baku: The Azerbaijani state has consistently recognized and valued the heroism of its citizens, stated President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with the families of the crew members who perished in a recent plane crash, as well as with the surviving flight attendants.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted that three crew members were posthumously honored with the title of National Hero. Additionally, the two surviving crew members received high state honors. The President acknowledged that while these recognitions might only offer limited consolation to the grieving families, they reflect the nation’s respect and appreciation for its brave citizens.
