President Ilham Aliyev Congratulates People of Azerbaijan on Eid al-Adha

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev extended his congratulations to the people of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani compatriots living abroad on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the President's message highlighted the significance of Eid al-Adha as a symbol of Islam's revelation to humanity and a path towards spiritual and moral salvation. He emphasized how millions of Muslims unite for the Hajj pilgrimage, celebrating unity, equality, and the willingness to make sacrifices for noble causes.

President Aliyev also noted that the sacrificial ceremonies, celebrated annually as a nationwide holiday in Azerbaijan, reinforce feelings of solidarity, humanism, and compassion. These celebrations are seen as a triumph of benevolence and adherence to national and moral values within Azerbaijani society.

In his message, President Aliyev paid tribute to the memory of martyrs with gratitude and expressed hope that prayers for the peace and tranquility of the Azerbaijani people and state will be accepted. He wished happiness for families and prosperity for their tables.
