President Ilham Aliyev Demands Explanation and Apology from Iran Over Drone Attack

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has called for an explanation and an apology from Iran following an alleged act of aggression against Azerbaijan. During a Security Council meeting, President Aliyev stated that Iran committed what he described as an act of terror by deploying unmanned aerial vehicles to attack the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a region of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev asserted that the targets of the drone attack were civilian facilities, and he condemned the action as a severe breach of international norms. He insisted that Iranian officials must not only offer an apology but also ensure that those responsible for the alleged attack are held accountable and face legal consequences. The Azerbaijani leader underscored the importance of a prompt response and accountability in addressing the incident.
