According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Patricia Janet Scotland expressed her gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the exemplary organization of COP29, emphasizing the inaugural Summit on Small Island Developing States at the event. She appreciated Azerbaijan’s prioritization of climate challenges faced by these states during its COP presidency and acknowledged the country’s financial assistance and cooperation. Scotland commended Azerbaijan’s space capabilities used to analyze climate issues and the establishment of a data repository system. She also highlighted the numerous events organized during Azerbaijan’s COP presidency, which facilitated the involvement of global space agencies.
