Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Csaba Lejko, President for the CIS and Central Asia at John Deere and Chief Executive Officer of John Deere Walldorf International GmbH, along with Peter Sachse, Vice President for the CIS at John Deere. The meeting took place on July 16, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting began with a reflection on the previous encounter between President Aliyev and Csaba Lejko in Baku last year. The John Deere delegation expressed their admiration for the developments they have observed in Azerbaijan.
Csaba Lejko highlighted John Deere's successful operations within Azerbaijan and conveyed the company's interest in expanding its cooperation with the country. The discussion underscored Azerbaijan's agricultural potential, emphasizing the implementation of modern technologies in the sector. The state's active role in supporting agricultural development, particularly through the recently adopted State Program, was also noted.
The conversation further focused on exploring future cooperation prospects, with both sides identifying numerous opportunities to enhance collaboration in various agricultural domains. John Deere, founded in 1837 in the United States, is renowned for its manufacturing of agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, with a presence in over 30 countries.
