Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a U.S. delegation headed by Caleb Orr, Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs, during a meeting held on June 1. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed appreciation for Caleb Orr's participation in the official opening of the exhibitions and the Baku Energy Forum, which were part of the Baku Energy Week. He acknowledged the gesture of U.S. President Donald Trump sending a letter of support for the event, highlighting the significance of this partnership.

The President underscored the successful development of bilateral relations and the importance of the Strategic Partnership Charter signed between Azerbaijan and the United States. He emphasized the creation of working groups based on this Charter to foster cooperation across various fields. The inaugural meeting of the Azerbaijan-US Economic Dialogue was also highlighted as a key opportunity for advancing these discussions.

Caleb Orr conveyed greetings from U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to President Aliyev, who reciprocated with his regards. Orr noted that Trump's letter to Baku Energy Week underscored the importance the U.S. places on the event and acknowledged President Aliyev's leadership in promoting discussions on energy market developments.
