Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, on May 17.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Suhail Al Mazrouei conveyed greetings from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to President Aliyev. In response, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude and requested that his own regards be sent to the UAE leaders.

Suhail Al Mazrouei congratulated Azerbaijan on hosting the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku. He noted that the event serves as a vital platform for discussing key issues related to global urban planning.

The discussion highlighted the strengthening of Azerbaijan-UAE bilateral relations, underscoring the expansion of cooperation in several sectors. Both parties emphasized their commitment to developing ties in political, economic, and energy arenas, with a particular focus on renewable energy initiatives.
