Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from President Aliyev expressed his sincerest congratulations to the Portuguese President and the people of Portugal on the occasion of their national holiday. He emphasized the commitment to continue joint efforts to enhance relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal, fostering cooperation in an atmosphere of friendship that serves the interests of both nations.

President Aliyev also extended his wishes for robust health and happiness to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and prosperity to the people of Portugal on their national holiday.
