Tashkent: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with Uzbekistan's largest urban development project, 'New Tashkent', APA reports. The project represents a comprehensive urban development model integrating various sectors such as the economy, investment policy, transport, education, ecology, and digital technologies.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 'New Tashkent' is expected to generate over 260,000 new jobs upon its full completion. Currently, more than 10,000 workers are employed at the construction sites. A notable innovation in the project is the use of trigeneration technology for managing electricity generation, heating, and cooling processes within a unified technological chain.

The development includes modern administrative buildings for over 60 government institutions, along with hotels, restaurants, service centers, business complexes, tourism facilities, a new university, a complex for the National Library, scientific laboratories, multimedia centers, museums, sports facilities, and a student campus.

The 'Sharq Bahori' complex, still under construction, promises to be one of Central Asia's largest residential projects. Covering 95 hectares, it is planned to house around 15,000 apartments.
