Baku: "For us, it's a great honor to be a strategic partner of the most powerful country in the world, the United States of America," President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev said during a press statement with the U.S. Vice President James David Vance, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed gratitude to President Trump, Vice President Vance, and their team for their role in fostering peace in the Caucasus. He highlighted the peace agreement initialed between Armenia and Azerbaijan at the White House last August, witnessed by President Trump, as a significant step towards lasting peace. The joint efforts led to the signing of a Joint Declaration on Peace, marking six months of peace as the two nations learn to coexist peacefully.

President Aliyev also acknowledged the United States Government's contribution to the region's stability. He noted that Azerbaijan has lifted restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia and has commenced the supply of oil products, initiating trade and cooperation between the two countries.
