Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, emphasized Azerbaijan’s commitment to maintaining an independent policy in light of emerging geopolitical realities. In an address at the international conference, ‘The New World Order: Geopolitical Aspects and Global Challenges’, President Aliyev highlighted the role of consistent and goal-oriented state actions in shaping a just world order, emphasizing political responsibility as a guiding principle.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev underscored the importance of effective cooperation among countries, built on mutual respect and trust, as well as adherence to international law. He stated that such cooperation is essential for addressing modern challenges and contributing positively to the evolving global landscape.

President Aliyev also highlighted that the year 2025 is being celebrated in Azerbaijan as the ‘Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty’. He reiterated that Azerbaijan, guided by national interests, is determined to pursue an independent policy and actively contribute to the formation of a new world order that promotes peace, cooperation, and sustainable development.
