Ankara: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed Azerbaijan's commitment to aid in the reconstruction and restoration efforts in Turkey's Kahramanmaras province. In a letter to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Aliyev underscored Azerbaijan's active participation in constructing the 'Azerbaijan' neighborhood in the region, describing this support as a clear indication of the friendly and allied relations between the two countries.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the unity and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Turkey, based on the philosophy of 'One nation, two states.' He emphasized that this alliance is a cornerstone for regional stability, security, and sustainable development, contributing to the prosperity of both nations. The letter was sent on the occasion of the third anniversary of the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey in 2023.
