Baku: President Ilham Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan’s critical position in Eurasian transport infrastructure during a meeting focused on transportation issues, APA reports. He asserted that Azerbaijan’s transport infrastructure is essential to the transport map of Eurasia.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the significance of the East-West and North-South transport corridors that traverse Azerbaijan. He noted the increasing volume of cargo transported along these routes annually. Beyond infrastructure, steps toward digitalization have been implemented to enhance cargo transportation efficiency. President Aliyev also mentioned the establishment of new cooperative formats and joint ventures with neighboring countries, reinforcing Azerbaijan’s status as a key transport hub in Eurasia.
