Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has underscored the importance of connecting the liberated territories with each other as a primary objective for Azerbaijan. 'Our main goal is to connect the liberated territories with each other and to connect this region with other regions of Azerbaijan - the Ganja-West direction through Kalbajar, the Tartar-Barda-Baku direction, and the Fuzuli-Bilasuvar-South direction. Thus, connectivity in the country will be more reliable, and the time spent on the road will be shorter,' President Aliyev stated during an interview with local television channels.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that the development of railways, highways, and future air routes will enhance internal migration within Azerbaijan. He noted that it is not necessary for everyone to move to Baku, as cities like Khankendi are becoming attractive destinations for people from Baku, Nakhchivan, and other regions. Khankendi and Aghdam are expected to emerge as the central cities of the liberated areas.

The President also mentioned that the liberated territories currently house 70,000 residents. He projected that this number could increase to 120,000, 130,000, or even 140,000 by the end of the year, indicating significant growth and development in these regions.
