Baku: President Ilham Aliyev stated, "The diversification of the economy is already a reality, but we definitely have to continue," during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the country's success in reducing foreign debt, a target set by him years ago. He noted that this goal was not only met but potentially exceeded expectations.
