President Ilham Aliyev Highlights Energy Support to Armenia from Azerbaijan

Berlin: Gasoline and diesel fuel sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia are a very important contribution to Armenia's energy security, President Ilham Aliyev stated during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, APA's correspondent dispatched to Berlin reports. The president emphasized the significance of this energy support as part of the broader efforts to enhance regional cooperation and security.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev also highlighted the increased shipment of transit cargoes to Armenia through Azerbaijan's territory. He noted that the volume of these shipments has expanded significantly, with more than 40,000 tonnes of transit cargo having passed through Azerbaijan on its way to Armenia so far.

President Aliyev remarked on the historic nature of the current period, pointing out that Azerbaijan has offered peace to Armenia and received a positive response. He expressed appreciation for the German government's role in facilitating this development, underscoring the importance of international cooperation in fostering peaceful relations between the two nations.
