Baku: ‘Active cooperation between Baku and Astana carries significant geopolitical importance,’ President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during a joint press statement with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the importance of the collaboration between the two countries amidst the opening of new transport routes and the implementation of connectivity projects across the broader Eurasian region. He pointed out that the increasing interconnectedness between the Caucasus and Central Asia, often functioning within a single geographical space, necessitates ongoing attention and the direct involvement of heads of state to ensure that this cooperation results in tangible outcomes.
