Budapest: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan emphasized the common challenges faced by Azerbaijan and Hungary during a press statement with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orb¡n. He highlighted the historical connections between the two nations as a significant factor in their mutual understanding.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev noted that both countries have similar population sizes and geographical areas, which further strengthens their bond. He pointed out that both Azerbaijan and Hungary are landlocked, with Azerbaijan’s location on the Caspian Sea not providing access to the world ocean. Aliyev also remarked on the shared experience of bordering a country engaged in conflict, which contributes to a mutual comprehension of each other’s challenges.
