Baku: 'Relations with the countries of Central Asia are among the key priorities of Azerbaijan's foreign policy,' President Ilham Aliyev stated during an informal meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the president emphasized that from the beginning of 2023 to the present, he had visited the brotherly countries of Central Asia a total of 16 times. In return, leaders from Central Asian states had visited Azerbaijan 26 times. "This statistic speaks best of the dynamics, the closeness of relations, and the fact that today Central Asia and Azerbaijan have already turned into a single geopolitical and geoeconomic region," President Ilham Aliyev remarked.
