Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Turki Sa'oud El Qadi. The meeting underscored the robust ties between Azerbaijan and Jordan, emphasizing mutual support and friendship.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed optimism about future cooperation in various fields, including political, economic, humanitarian, and interparliamentary sectors. He highlighted the importance of Mazen El Qadi's participation in the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States in Baku, which is expected to further strengthen bilateral relations and legislative cooperation.
During the meeting, the speaker conveyed greetings from King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan. In response, President Aliyev expressed his gratitude and extended an invitation to the Jordanian King to visit Azerbaijan. The speaker lauded the friendly relations between the two nations, attributing their success to the political will of both leaders.
Mazen El Qadi praised Azerbaijan's progress under President Aliyev's leadership, noting the nation's beauty and security. He emphasized the unity between the Azerbaijani people and government, attributing it to the social justice achieved through the president's policies.
