Baku: On December 6, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) company 2PointZero, Syed Basar Shueb, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the International Holdings company, and Ali Arashdi, Chief Executive Officer of the International Resources Holding company, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed the greetings of President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Aliyev. Sheikh Zayed highlighted the instructions from the UAE President to strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan across all domains, emphasizing the potential for developing relations between the two nations and commending the long-standing successful partnership.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and requested that his own greetings be passed on to the UAE President. He fondly recalled Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Azerbaijan and Karabakh earlier this year, and the meetings held in both Azerbaijan and the UAE. President Aliyev noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE have reached the level of strategic partnership, marked by high-level political relations and enhanced cooperation across various sectors.
President Aliyev highlighted the UAE as a strategic partner in renewable energy, mentioning signed documents and the opportunities for further cooperation. The Azerbaijan-UAE partnership is deemed significant for the broader region. The discussions during the meeting emphasized advancing bilateral relations in political, economic, trade, oil and gas, and other areas.
Both sides exchanged views on collaboration in energy infrastructure, renewable energy, investment, information technologies, mining, and other sectors, underlining the importance of these discussions for future joint initiatives.
