Nakhchivan: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for a 518-apartment social housing complex in Nakhchivan city on August 11. Sadig Sadigov, Chairman of the Board of the State Housing Development Agency, briefed the head of state on the facilities and infrastructure to be created at the complex.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, an area of nearly 5 hectares has been allocated for the construction of multi-apartment residential buildings, designed to provide affordable housing in Nakhchivan. The complex will consist of 16 six- and seven-story buildings, featuring a total of 518 apartments. These include 93 one-room, 37 two-room, 351 three-room, and 37 four-room apartments.
The necessary infrastructure will be established at the residential complex for the convenience of residents. The construction of a kindergarten and other catering facilities is planned on the site. The complex will be supplied with electricity, gas, water, and sewage systems. Additionally, the construction of roads and sidewalks, alongside landscaping and greening works, is part of the planned development for the area.
The head of state was also informed about the projects implemented to date and those planned by the State Housing Development Agency.
