Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation of heads of member institutions of the Arab Coordination Group, APA reports. The meeting took place on November 5 and included discussions on the development of social infrastructure in Azerbaijan, particularly focusing on the large-scale restoration and construction efforts in Garabagh and East Zangezur.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the delegation included notable figures such as Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group; Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, President of the OPEC Fund; Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX); Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development; and Waleed Al-Bahar, Acting Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

President Aliyev expressed appreciation for the Arab Coordination Group’s support for projects aimed at enhancing Azerbaijan’s social infrastructure. He highlighted that these initiatives further strengthen the relationships with the financial institutions and the countries they represent. The President also noted the completion of major infrastructure projects in the country and mentioned the implementation and future adoption of state programs in sectors such as water supply and transport.

Representing the delegation, Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser thanked President Aliyev for the reception and shared his observations from his visit to the liberated Garabagh, including Shusha, commending the reconstruction efforts there.

The meeting concluded with both sides acknowledging the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Arab Coordination Group. They also discussed the favorable investment environment in Azerbaijan and explored possibilities for future collaboration and joint projects.
