Zangilan: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, met with families moving into the first residential complex in Zangilan, presenting them with keys to their new apartments. During the gathering, President Aliyev delivered a speech highlighting the significance of the day, coinciding with the birthday of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and the symbolic meaning it holds for the residents returning to their native land.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized the fulfillment of Heydar Aliyev's dream of liberating Azerbaijani lands from occupation and restoring the country's territorial integrity. He recounted the challenges faced by Azerbaijan in 1993, when internal strife, territorial threats, and political instability plagued the nation. He credited National Leader Heydar Aliyev with stabilizing the country and laying the groundwork for its future development.
President Aliyev also reflected on Azerbaijan's journey to expel occupiers and strengthen its sovereignty, highlighting the country's military successes and diplomatic efforts. He described the resilience and unity of the Azerbaijani people, whose support played a crucial role in their victories. He further elaborated on the strategic and military operations that led to the liberation of territories and the restoration of full sovereignty.
The President addressed the reconstruction efforts in Zangilan, describing the new developments as a testament to Azerbaijan's commitment to rebuilding and creating in the liberated territories. He outlined plans to transform Zangilan into a transport hub and emphasized the significance of ongoing projects such as the Zangezur Corridor and the development of transport links with Nakhchivan and neighboring countries.
Following his speech, President Aliyev participated in the inauguration ceremony of the residential complex, which includes 104 apartments. He later laid the foundation stone for the Zangilan City Park Hotel, underscoring the government's dedication to enhancing the region's infrastructure and living conditions.
The residents of Zangilan expressed their gratitude for the attention and support provided by the government, marking a significant step in their return and resettlement in their homeland.
