Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Maimunah Mohd Sharif, the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on November 17. Maimunah Mohd Sharif is also the former Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT).

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting focused on discussing potential areas of collaboration between Azerbaijan and Kuala Lumpur. The discussions aimed to explore opportunities in urban development and other mutual interests. The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and Malaysia.
