Gabala: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, met with the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, in Gabala on October 6. President Tatar expressed his appreciation for the support extended by Azerbaijan to the TRNC and recalled his previous interactions with President Aliyev both in Azerbaijan and at international gatherings.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev reiterated Azerbaijan’s commitment to supporting the TRNC. President Tatar also congratulated the Azerbaijani leader on the progress made in the peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, noting the involvement of the United States in facilitating these discussions. President Aliyev expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment.

During their meeting, the leaders highlighted the significance of TRNC’s observer status in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and discussed the positive impact of the Gabala Summit in strengthening partnerships within the OTS framework. The discussions also covered potential cooperation in various sectors.
