President Ilham Aliyev Receives Credentials from New Indonesian Ambassador

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Berlian Helmy, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Azerbaijan. The meeting took place as the ambassador presented his credentials to the president.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev engaged in a discussion with Ambassador Helmy, recalling his previous interactions with the President of Indonesia at international forums in Davos and Sharm El-Sheikh. He extended an official invitation for the Indonesian President to visit Azerbaijan.

President Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan's recent admission to the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation as the first member country since its founding. He expressed gratitude for the support received from member states, including Indonesia, noting this achievement as a testament to the respect and camaraderie towards Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani leader underscored the ongoing development of bilateral relations and stressed the importance of enhancing political, economic, and investment cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia. He extended his best wishes to Ambassador Helmy for his diplomatic mission.

Ambassador Berlian Helmy expressed his appreciation to President Aliyev for the warm reception and committed to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two nations during his tenure. The discussion also covered the prospects for further bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia.
